This was filmed in February 2008 - the infamous Gateshead Multi-Storey Car Park is due for demolition. The building was made famous by the cult film "Get Carter". The top levels have been closed for years but I was allowed to go up and film the building and the views from it before it gets demolished.

A short movie I made at the famous Get Carter car park in Gateshead, England, which featured in the 1971 film Get Carter. Filmed from inside my car driving through the car park. The music playing in the video is Kraftwerk Autobahn (1974). It seems to go well with the video. I was messing around with the video effects in the editing software I used. I liked the "outline" style.

There is now very little left of the car park, only a small section of the west lift shaft/stairs and a very small piece of the car park deck. This video shows the nibbler starting to move over to the remaining part of the car park after the ground had been levelled.
